I went to the new Albertsons today!  I did pretty good, but I needed/wanted stuff that I didn't have coupons for, but overall it was good.

*Kraft shells n cheese, $1.99, had $1.00 off coupon when you buy 4 boxes
*Celestial Seasonings Tea, 2/$5, it rang up $3.49 each, so I asked the cashier, and since it rang up wrong, the first one is FREE, and she rang the other 1 at $2.50, and I had 2 peelies $1.00 each, so I got both boxes of tea for .50 cents!

Tip of the Day...

At CVS don't forget to scan your CVS card at the red machine, it gives you coupons, and some are great, you might get one that says $5.00 off of a $20.00 purchase!
I have gotten one that says $3.00 off of a $10.00 grocery purchase, and their cereal was on sale, and I got 3 boxes for 1 penny, and got Extra Care Bucks!  So always scan your card!

A few good deals...

We got new coupons today, don't forget to get a couple of extra papers, and be sure and mark them with todays date!
*In todays Redplum there is a .25 McCormick coupon, and the McCormick grinders are $1.00 at Kroger, through Tuesday.  That coupon triples, making them just .25 cents!
*At CVS they have lowered their price of Folgers(11.3 oz) to $2.49, and in todays paper there is $1.00 off coupon, so makes it just $1.49...great deal!

Thursday, November 4, 2010

I made another trip to CVS today!
In last Sundays paper PG 10/31 there is a coupon for $5.00 off Olay Ribbons Body Wash, when you buy Secret deodorant, any size! :)  So, I had a $4.00 ECB (extra care buck) from the toothbrush deal that I did the other day, so I bought the trial size Secret $1.00 each, (they are under the regular size ones) I bought 2 of them= 2.00, the Olay is $7.00, - $5.00 off, so I got all 3 for $4.00, and paid with my $4.00 ECB, which even took care of the tax!  PLUS, left with a $3.00 ECB for buying ( I use that word loosely since I really didn't PAY for anything) the Olay Ribbons Body Wash!  LOVE it!
So, if you are new to CVS, or don't have any ECB's, then go buy the toothbrushes, then, do the deal I did today!  You will leave with 2 toothbrushes, 2 deodorants and the Olay Body wash, and only be out $4.00!  and have some ECB's for next time!
It's not too late to get a paper from last week, which has the toothbrush coupons, and the Secret/Olay coupon! Walmart usually has plenty!
Also, if you are new to CVS, and have not signed up online and given your email address to them, do that and they will give you a $4.00 coupon, print it, and then you will be out nothing for purchasing the above items!  Actually, I think it might $4.00 off of a $20 purchase, but it helps!

Tip of the day!

Tip for Today: Kroger and Albertsons TRIPLE coupons up to .39 cents, AND DOUBLE coupons .40-50 cents!
Also, there are digital coupons you can upload to your Kroger card, which can be used WITH manufacturer coupon!  :)

Mega Event

Kroger is running their Mega Event, which will run for 2 weeks!  When you buy 10 participating items, you get $5.00 off.  You can mix n match your items, as long as you get them in multiples of 10, and they are a participating item.  The shelf tag tells you if it is a participating item!  Now the FUN part is when you match up coupons WITH the participating items!  And, this is the only time Kroger allows overage.  Overage is when the item is .50 cents, but you have $1.00 coupon.  Thats a money maker, that means you get .50 free stuff!  (Normally the computers automatically adjust price to the price of coupon)
Technically, the best days to shop are Sunday thru Tuesday, because you get new coupons on Sunday and then the new ad comes out Wed, but I don't like to wait, and if better coupons come out Sunday, then I will just go buy more, heck its practically FREE anyway!
So, this is what I did today...
Del Monte canned tomatoes
after Mega Event are .50 cents a can, but there is a coupon RP 9/19 for $1.00/5
making 10 cans $3.00!!!

Skinner Pasta is .38 cents a package, there are no coupons, but thats a great price!

So, this is everything I got today, and my grand total was $16.70  (40 items)
12 pasta, 10 tomoatoes, 4 cocoa, 6 fruit snacks, 4 cream of chicken soup, and 4 Ricola
with a total savings of $52.14  And I got 2$ off coupons for my next purchase at Kroger!

Ricola cough drops, FREE after SS 10/17  $1.00/2 coupon
Campbells Cream of Chicken Soup (or Cream of Mushroom soup) $1.20/4 after .40/4  SS 10/3 or 9/12
Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks $1.00 ea after .50/2 coupon GM 10/3
Nestle Hot cocoa, no coupon, but after mega event is .50 cents!

Remember, multiples of 10 mix n match! And all of these were participating items!
Happy Shopping!

Got Soap?

Kroger has Safeguard soap for $1.19 (2 bar pack), there is a .35 coupon in 8/29 RP, so that coupon triples making each pack .14cents!  I have never tried that soap, but we needed some, and its almost FREE!

Tip of the Day

Tip of The Day: Get coupons from the paper, get a few papers if you can.  Dollar Tree has them for $1.00, or Walmart has Double papers/double coupons for $2.86.
Once you get the inserts don't cut them out, write the date on them and keep them intact.
When I tell you about coupons, I will use the date, and RP (redplum), or PG (P&G), GM (GeneralMills), SS (Smart Source), makes it sooo much easier!

Blue light special, aisle 10!!

Ok, Albertsons new ad comes out today!
Albertsons has free coupon ads in the front of the store, which have store coupons in them, which you combine with maufacture coupons to make an even better deal!
There is a store coupon for Libbys canned veggies, .39 cents a can, and use a manufacture coupon from 8/29 RP (redplum) $1/ thats just a few pennies per can!  LIMIT 6, but you can always make a few trips!

CVS deal

This week there aren't a lot of good CVS deals, but one I did yesterday is the Oral B toothbrush, there is a $3.00 off coupon in Sundays paper(10/31) P&G, for any battery toothbrush.  They are on sale for $4.99 at CVS, so with the coupon you spend $1.99, PLUS you get $2.00 in Extra Care Bucks (ECBs) so thats FREE toothbrush, and it is limit 2, so you spend $4.00 and get $4.00 back for next purchase!  TIP: next purchase can be 2 seconds later! :)

New to blogging!

I recently started couponing, and it is SO addicting, and so much fun to see how much money you can save!!
So I have decided to start a blog because I am always emailing or texting my mom and sister in law, to tell them what to go get that is a good deal that week....So, I figured if I blog about it, maybe I can save time and save friends some money, too!

This is what I bought today at Kroger: 8 boxes of cereal, and 4 bags of Chex mix, and a box of ziplocs all for $11.00
Their sales will change tomorrow, so I will post tomorrow about what to get this week at Kroger!
Also, watch for a post about CVS and how to get Extra Care Bucks, and get lots of needed items for FREE for your family!
